News coming in is that NTV Uganda’s Maurice Mugisha may soon be replaced by Sanyu FM’s Linda Kibombo, according to reports from XclusiveUg. Linda has joined the NTV News team after throwing in the towel at Crane Chamber based Sanyu FM.  The good news is that Maurice Mugisha is not leaving NTV Uganda. He may soon be promoted to the post of deputy manager of the station as they pave way for the current MD’s exit. Kibombo will replace Maurice as the news editor. We will keep you posted. May 19 (Reuters) – French telecom operator Orange said on Monday it will sell its majority stake in Orange Uganda to Africell as part of its optimization plan where Africa and the Middle-East remain a strategic priority. The transaction, whose financial terms were not disclosed, is subject to approval from authorities, the statement said. CNOOC Uganda recently awarded UGX 31 million in prize money and school support to Hoima’s best performing students in a bid to enhance education standards in its area of operation.
