Socialite Nasser Nduhukire alias Don Nasser, has been accused of introducing a minor to cocaine and subsequently abusing her on several occasions. This revelation came to light during a hearing at the Buganda Road Magistrate’s Court, where the State presented its evidence.

According to the prosecution, Don Nasser, along with his co-accused, Promise Ateete, who is reported to have been his former lover turned friend, played crucial roles in the unfolding events. The victim, a young girl residing with her mother in Qatar, was allegedly introduced to this dangerous lifestyle after returning to Uganda for academic reasons.

The victim, who had previously attended Kabojja International School in Uganda, was sent back to the country by her parents after underperforming in her International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) exams in Qatar. Arriving in Uganda on April 20, 2024, she was enrolled at MAT ABUCUS and lived with her paternal aunt in Naguru. However, on May 3, 2024, she vanished, failing to answer her aunt’s persistent calls.

The State’s evidence revealed that the victim’s phone activity was traced, showing communication with a specific number, 0740261292. Upon her return home on May 4, she remained evasive about her whereabouts. Investigations disclosed that Ateete had lured her away, using both the phone number and Snapchat for communication.

The case summary revealed that the victim was taken to Kyaliwajjala to stay with a paternal uncle but fled again on May 27. During this period, Ateete allegedly misled the victim’s family, claiming she was a cousin before admitting they were friends after being confronted by a relative.

Court documents detailed a chilling sequence of events on the day of the victim’s second escape. It is alleged that Ateete engaged with the victim on Snapchat, meeting her at Aura Bar on Acacia Avenue for drinks. They were later joined by Nduhukire, who purportedly gave Ateete Shs800,000 after introducing the victim to him.

The narrative took a darker turn as the three drove to Tagore Living Apartments on Kayunga Road, where Nduhukire allegedly provided cocaine for the victim and Ateete to sniff. Ateete reportedly left the victim with Nduhukire and another girl known only as Sheena, returning to Aura Bar.

Court documents further disclosed that the victim was led to Nduhukire’s bedroom by a naked woman and subjected to an HIV test. After testing negative, she was given more cocaine.

The gravity of these allegations prompted Magistrate Sanula Nambozo to commit Nduhukire to the High Court for trial.
