In this week’s episode of sinking or shining we bring you Leone Island’s rebel child Yung Mulo. Yung Mulo was lucky to have his first single “Tebakusobola” bring him to the lime light courtesy of Josh Boss(promoter),Hannz tactic(producer) and former boss Chameleone(benefactor).
The police target artiste like he prefers to call himself rose to fame as soon as he released the single which went viral on all radio and T.V stations. He enjoyed his limited time of fame while it lasted. Tebakusobola was shortly followed with “me nuh kno”,”gyal dem love me” and other club bangers. Mullo won the heart of many good music lovers as we loved his well composed patois flavoured with Luganda lines.
To many the pivotal point for the then fast rising star was his decision to pay a deaf ear to his then boss Chameleone. Yung Mulo got his own manager(his brother) and finally quit Leone Island. He quickly got signed to Kinetic where he is currently doing his music.
While with his new bosses Mullo has done “Omu kwo omu” alongside Navio which has equally got a good reception. The “mi nuh know” singer has done so many other anonymous songs like Topowa, nuh Stop,Tugende Tukola which not so many music lovers know about.
It’s at this point that we ask,is the Leone Island veteran singer sinking or shining?
