Uganda Cranes striker Yunus Sentamu has joined Democratic Republic of Congo side AS Vita on a four-year renewable deal.
The Vipers striker, in his late teens, completed his move on Friday afternoon after passing a medical earlier in the day, according to his former club secretary Harunah Kyobe.
Johnson Bagoole is the other Ugandan to have featured for the DRC club between 2009 and 2010.
“The club (Vita) is working around the clock to register him for the Caf Champions League group stages and we at Vipers wish him the best at his next destination,” said Kyobe.
Sentamu first introduced himself to the continent when he expertly scored all Uganda’s three goals in January/February’s Africa Nations Championship (Chan) in South Africa.
He has been handed shirt number 4 at Vita. Financial details of this transfer, however, remain confidential as per the transfer agreement between both clubs, according to Kyobe.
