Uganda Cup holders SC Victoria University kick start their second Round FUFA Super League campaign today with a game against struggling Proline FC.
After exiting the CAF Confederations Cup last weekend to CS Don Bosco of DR Congo, Coach Morley Byekwaso’s youthful team will be eager to snatch early points.
“We have shifted attention to the league now and I expect my players to hard in our pursuit of the trophy,” Byekwaso told MTNFootball.com.
Matthew Odong and Daniel Isiagi Opolot are expected to make their debuts in League Football after being involved in the CAF competition last weekend. But 12th placed Proline FC team which has lost all their two games in the second round will have to be at their best if they hope to get a point from SC Victoria University.
Fresh from trials with AmaZulu in South African Junior Yunus Sentamu is expected to lead SC Vipers away to unpredictable Bidco FC as they hope to maintain their lead on the log.
The other games on card will see Haruna Kebba’s Kiira Young take on Express FC, while early pace setters in the first round Soana battle Police FC. Former champions URA FC will also be determined to close the gap on table leaders when they play away to Entebbe FC.
The other two games that will take place today will see Bright Stars hosting SC Villa, while Masala LC face army side Simba.
