Two time league top scorer in the FUFA Women Elite League, Sandra Nabweteme has dedicated her 2015/2016 season gong to the local football governing president Eng. Moses Magogo.
Nabweteme who features for the defending champions Kawempe Muslim SS scored 14 and 23 goals in the inaugural and second season of the league respectively.
The dedication to Magogo was in appreciation for what the FUFA boss has done to support women’s football in the country. “I dedicate this award of mine to the FUFA president Engineer Moses Magogo. You are my role model in leadership. Thank you for supporting women football with Executive and FUFA Staff. Secondly, I thank my fans, team mates, coaches and also the supporters of the ‘fraternity warriors’. We are champions for life,” Sandra said.
The two time league winner with Kawempe is now part of the National Women’s football team, the Uganda Crested Cranes that kicked off training yesterday at the Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo in preparations for a friendly tie with Kenya. The match is slated for early next month (3rd July) in Kisumu.
