Rihanna has publicly responded to TLC’s criticism of her outfit choices.
The 26-year-old singer took to Twitter to dismiss the group’s comments in a unique way.
Rather than making a written statement, the star chose to change her page’s header to an old shot of the group in which they appear topless.
She then updated her profile picture on the site, replacing her face with a paparazzi photo of Kanye West eating an ice cream, which has become an internet meme representing smug nonchalance.
Following her appearance at the CFDA Awards last week, TLC appealed to Rihanna to wear clothes that were less revealing.
“Every time I see you, you don’t have to be naked,” T-Boz said on Australian morning show Sunrise.
“We sold and became the biggest girl-selling group of all-time with our clothes on, that says a lot,” she added.
“It’s easy to sell sex… we can go around with boobie cakes out all day long.”
The band have yet to respond to the ‘We Found Love’ singer’s silent retort.
