Shakib Cham, husband to Ugandan socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan, has revealed that he did not attend the recent nikah (Islamic wedding) of Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz. Despite skipping the event, Shakib said there is no bad blood between him and Diamond.
“I skipped Diamond’s nikah, but we’re cool,” Shakib stated, confirming that his relationship with Zari’s ex-husband remains respectful.
Shakib and Zari officially tied the knot in 2023 in a private ceremony.
The wedding was attended only by close friends and family members.
Zari Hassan shares two children with Diamond Platnumz. Although they ended their romantic relationship years ago, the two continue to co-parent.
According to Shakib, he fully supports their co-parenting arrangement and respects the bond they share for the sake of the children.
Their mature handling of family dynamics has drawn praise from fans across East Africa, with many applauding Shakib for his understanding and respect towards Zari’s past.
