Legendary Ugandan singer Red Banton has revealed that the late Mowzey Radio was the mastermind behind his popular hit song Sijja Kuva Kampala.

Speaking in a recent interview, Red Banton shared that he had initially written his own lines for the song, but Mowzey Radio was not impressed.
“I had tried to come up with my lines, but he trashed them and wrote me better ones,” Banton said during an online interview.
According to the singer, Radio ended up writing 90% of the song, which later became one of Banton’s biggest hits.

Red Banton is remembered as one of Mowzey Radio’s close friends in the music industry.
The two shared a strong bond, with Banton often praising Radio’s talent and songwriting skills.
Mowzey Radio, who passed away in 2018, was known for writing hit songs for many Ugandan artists.
His contribution to the music industry is still recognized and celebrated by fans and fellow musicians.
