Renowned Ugandan DJ and media personality, DJ Nimrod, has made a bold statement about veteran rapper Mun*G.
In a recent online interview, Nimrod said that Mun*G has more hit songs than any other artist who was part of the former Baboon Forest Entertainment group.
DJ Nimrod explained that even though GNL Zamba was the leader of Baboon Forest and Big Tril had a prominent role in the camp, Mun*G outshined them in terms of producing hit songs, both in the past and currently.
“MunG has more hit songs than any of them. GNL Zamba may have started the group, and Big Tril may have had a better position at the time, but MunG delivered more hits,” Nimrod said during an online interview.
He went on to compare Mun*G’s success to a situation where a child becomes wealthier than his father.
“It’s like when a child becomes richer than the father, even though the father gave him life,” Nimrod added.
Baboon Forest Entertainment was one of Uganda’s most influential hip-hop music groups, producing several top talents in the 2000s and early 2010s.
Mun*G remains one of the few artists from the group who continues to release music that resonates with fans.
