In a poignant moment during the Requiem Mass of her son, the late Humphrey Mayanja, Prossy Mayanja shared a deeply personal revelation.
She disclosed how she fervently prayed for her son’s death to in order to be released from his excruciating pain as he battled cancer.
Humphrey Mayanja, a Ugandan native residing in the US, passed away last week at his residence in Lweza on Entebbe Road.
Prossy Mayanja recounted her agonizing experience by her son’s bedside, where she witnessed the intensity of his suffering.
“His pain was too much, so I prayed and told God, If my son is not going to make it, please take him,'” she expressed during the solemn ceremony.
The late Humphrey Mayanja was not just a beloved son but also a cherished elder brother to renowned Ugandan singers, including Jose Chameleone, Pallaso, Weasel Manizo, AK47 (may he rest in peace), and King Fire.
Humphrey’s passing marks a profound loss for both his family and the Ugandan music industry, leaving behind a legacy of love, talent, and resilience in the face of adversity.
