The family of Mr. Gerald and Proscovia Mayanja has revealed the burial program for their beloved son, Humphrey Mayanja, who passed away in Uganda over the weekend after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Humphrey, who had been residing in the United States, was a prominent figure in the entertainment industry and the elder brother to renowned Ugandan singers, including Jose Chameleone, Pallaso, Weasel Manizo, and the late AK47.
The funeral arrangements are as follows:
Tuesday:
- Mass: St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lweza at 12 noon.
- Vigil: Kitiko, Kigo near Memorial Hospital following the mass.
Wednesday – Burial:
- Burial: Kalangaalo, Singo off Mubende Road at 2 pm.
- Service: 12 noon at Kalangaalo.
Humphrey’s influence on the music scene, particularly in nurturing Jose Chameleone’s career in the mid-2000s, has left a lasting impact on the industry.
His passing has deeply saddened the entertainment community, which continues to mourn his loss and celebrate his contributions.
Thousands of friends, family members, and fans have already gathered at the vigil in Lweza along Entebbe Road to pay their respects to the late Humphrey Mayanja.
