Omulangira David Wasajja Kintu has been unveiled as the Chief Runner of this year’s Airtel-sponsored Kabaka Run slated for Sunday, 10th April this year.
This was during a press conference held at the Buganda Kingdom offices in Mengo and attended by Buganda Kingdom officials led by the Buganda Kingdom Prince David Wasajja himself, Airtel Uganda officials, well-wishers and members of the press.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Prince Wasajja said he was glad to, once again, take part in the Kabaka Run. “For me, the decision to be Chief Runner at this year’s Kabaka Run was very easy to make seeing as the proceeds from go towards a very noble cause – the fight against fistula,” he said.
“I encourage everyone to take part in the Kabaka Run and for those who cannot run, I encourage you to at least pay the registration fees as a contribution for this worthwhile cause,” he added.
Also speaking at the press conference, the Airtel Uganda Brand & Communication head, Ms. Remmie Kisakye thanked Prince Wasajja for accepting to be the Chief Runner.
“Once again, I urge all our dear customers and the general public to come and register, it’s not too late. Your participation will go a long way to help fight fistula in Uganda,” she said.
The Kabaka Run tickets can be found on sale at Airtel Uganda head office as well as their premium shops located at Shoprite Entebbe Road, Ben Kiwanuka Street, Plaza building Jinja road and the new taxi park.
