The Parliament of Uganda has committed UGX 150 million to support the family of the late Kawempe North MP, Ssegirinya Muhammad.

The contribution was agreed upon by the MPs, with each Member of Parliament set to contribute UGX 300,000.
Aisha Kabanda, the Woman MP for Butambala District, revealed that the funds will assist the late MP’s family, including his children and mother, in meeting their needs.
“We agreed to give the family UGX 150 million. This money will be set aside to help the children stay in school and cater for other needs in their lives,” Kabanda explained.
Ssegirinya Muhammad, who passed away last Thursday at Lubaga Hospital, was laid to rest over the weekend in Kadugala, Masaka District.
