As Uganda cranes battles Amavubi stars from Rwanda in a friendly match today, striker Emmanuel Okwi has taken the captainship of the mighty Uganda cranes and will start off the task with today’s friendly match against Rwanda at Mandela National Stadium.
Okwi will now be officially captaining all the matches of Uganda cranes even for the local based CECAFA league that will be held in our sister nation to to the east, Kenya, starting towards the close of this month of November.
Emma okwi, a Uganda cranes striker took responsibility of captainship from veteran senior player Andrew Mwesigwa who just retired from professional football. He retired in 2011 and since then the arm ban has been changing hands almost every match. And as the Cranes team trained, Andrew Mesigwa came at grounds and tipped off the boys with some tricks and juggles not only to help them beat Rwanda’s Amavubi but also other teams.
The Bigeye.ug team wishes the Mighty Uganda CRANES team the best of luck.
