It was surprise as a pregnant nun, from the Italian town of Rieti, gave birth to a baby after stating that she did not know she was pregnant.
In the hospital she told the medics that she was suffering from severe abdominal pains which she assumed were cramps. Well, the stomach cramps turned out to be a baby boy. Roxana Rodriguez like most other people, was shocked.
The 31-year-old nun said that she absolutely had no that she was pregnant, suggesting that, perhaps, it was an ‘immaculate conception’, Inqusitr reported.
In what we found to be funny, the naughty nun decided to name the baby boy Francis, after the current pope – a brilliant move, I should imagine.
A number of local residents teamed up and sent clothes and donations to the hospital where the nun and the young Francis were.
Inqusitr quoted her following the birth of Francis: “I did not know I was pregnant. I only felt a stomach pain.” She said.
There has been lot of commotion in Catholic church in Italy following the controversy surrounding the birth. A local pastor, Don Borrelio, said that to his best of knowledge, the nun was telling the truth and he had no idea she was pregnant.
I do not know what you think, right about now, but whether or not we should buy the holy sister’s idea, I leave it at your judgment.
