If opening a little window on your advent calendar isn’t enough for you this Christmas then fear not.
Because if you’re a Harry Potter fan then JK Rowling has found the best way of celebrating the festive season.
The author has written twelve new stories from around the wizarding world that well take us right up to the 23rd December.
Rowling announced the Christmas treats earlier this month, but it all kicked off today on Pottermore with this riddle.
Members will need to answer the riddle in order to access the story – which are thought to give more background to some of the characters from the books.
Look away now if you’re about to go and read the story for yourself.
Today’s story reveals a history of Cokeworth, the town where Severus Snape and Harry’s mum Lily Evans grew up.
And here’s a sneak preview.
“Uncle Vernon has a vague idea that Cokeworth is so distinctly unmusical, the letters will not follow them there. He ought to have known better; after all Petunia’s sister, Lily, turned into a talented witch in Cokeworth.”
Florean Fortescue’s ghost is also set to star in one extract, and another is rumoured to tell all about what JK Rowling really thinks of Draco Malfoy.
You can follow #PottermoreChristmas this festive season to keep up to date with all the surprises that are set to appear on the site over the next two weeks.
