Longtime Ugandan music producer Nash Wonder has made a public appeal to legendary singer Jose Chameleone, asking him to bring back his Kiswahili language music.

According to Nash Wonder, the period when Chameleone focused on singing in Kiswahili was one of the best times for Uganda’s music industry.

He said that during those years, the Ugandan flag was seen and respected across the African continent through Chameleone’s music.

Nash Wonder explained that after Chameleone switched to singing in other languages, Uganda has struggled to find another artist who could match his influence in the region.

He believes that if Chameleone re-introduces Kiswahili music into his career, it would once again raise Uganda’s image in the international music scene.

Nash Wonder remains hopeful that Chameleone will consider the request and give Kiswahili music another chance.
