Ex-President of the Ugandan FA, Lawrence Mulindwa, has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Council for East and central African Football Associations (Cecafa).
Nicholas Musonye, the Cecafa Secretary General told MTNFootball.com that on Friday that Mulindwa’s appointment takes effect from February 19th.
“He is a very hand working administrator who is very passionate about football and will certainly bring a lot in the Cecafa administration,” said Musonye.
Musonye said the Cecafa Chairman, Leodagar Tenga has appointed Mulindwa because he recognizes his long experience as FUFA President for eight years and being part of the CAF standings committees for equal number of years.
Mulindwa was last November elected as one of the four Cecafa Executive Committee members during the Assembly in Nairobi, Kenya. He was elected together with Abdiqaani Said Arab from Somalia, Tariq Atta (Sudan) and Rwanda’s Raoul Gisanura.
