vicent kayizziUgandan international winger Vincent Kayizzi is grateful to Cranes coach Micho Sredojevic for getting his national career back on track.

The Vipers player was called up to the national team squad ahead of Saturday’s international friendly game against Rwanda’s Amavubi Stars after a two year absence.

Kayizzi, who is also in the squad to prepare for Cecafa due later this month, last appeared in national colours in the goalless draw with Kenya at Namboole in Kampala in 2011.

“I am only focusing on playing and if the coach calls me up it means he has been impressed with some of my work,” said Kayizzi.

“I only have to work harder to make the team in every competition. It does not matter whether it is a friendly game or not.”

Kayizzi, 29, impressed in a 45 minute cameo appearance against the University Football League Select on Wednesday, scoring one of the goals in Cranes 2-0 win.
