Sheebah Karungi has praised songwriters as the “unsung heroes” of the music industry, highlighting the important role they play in helping artists bring their music to life.

Sheebah made the remarks while speaking at a press conference for producer and songwriter Dokta Brain, whom she credited for contributing to several of her biggest songs.
The singer said she has developed a unique creative connection with Dokta Brain, explaining that she often feels something is missing when she works with other songwriters.
“Even if I work with another writer, I always feel there is something missing. Dokta Brain has a way he understands me and vice versa,” Sheebah said.
Sheebah also opened up about her own songwriting abilities, clarifying that while she may make small changes to songs after they have been written, she does not consider herself a songwriter.
“As an artist, I’m not a writer. I have never written any songs. Leave alone the small things we do after the song is done, fixing one or two lines here and there. But writing a song, giving it meaning? I have never done that,” she explained.
The singer said artists who do not write their own music rely heavily on songwriters and should therefore appreciate and support their contribution to the industry.
“I feel like we have to be there for these writers. Without them sharing their talent with us, some of us who do not write wouldn’t be here. I appreciate you,” she added.
