Ambassador Dr. Amina Mohammed, IUEA Chancellor, lauded the graduates for their resilience and adaptability in an era defined by rapid technological change. She remarked,
“You leave here not only with degrees but with the resilience to navigate life’s challenges. Collaboration will be fundamental in this AI-driven age, and I encourage you to seek knowledge and lead the way for those who come after you.”
Reflecting on IUEA’s innovative spirit, IUEA Vice Chancellor Dr. Emeka Akaezuwa highlighted the importance of versatility in education, stating, “At IUEA, we believe education transcends traditional boundaries. Just because you’re an engineering student doesn’t mean you can only do engineering. Think beyond, innovate, and apply your skills across disciplines”
The event also featured the unveiling of Pionex Innovation, an innovative project developed by IUEA students. The founder of Pionex shared his inspiration, saying,
“In many parts of Sub-Saharan Africa, we lack sufficient laboratories, and this inspired me to create Pionex. It builds hope for a future where learning is not just theoretical but fun and engaging. Thanks to IUEA, this dream has become a reality.”
Graduates from various disciplines received their degrees in an event that showcased cultural performances and musical presentations, reflecting the university’s commitment to inclusivity and creativity.
Valedictorian Rannie Mukesh Hadijja delivered a heartfelt speech, encouraging her peers to reflect on the true essence of education.
