Ugandan singer John Blaq has revealed that he is a family man but prefers to keep his loved ones, especially his children, away from the public eye.

Speaking to Galaxy TV, the “Langi” singer said he believes some aspects of his personal life should remain private, urging fans to focus on his music rather than his family.
According to John Blaq, his children may choose different paths in life, and he does not want to expose them to unnecessary public attention simply because their father is a musician.
“You can know the little bits but sometimes they don’t want the cameras because we suppose I have my kids. They wouldn’t want to be seen because I can’t assume what they will be in future. Just because I am a musician, it doesn’t mean everyone will be a musician in my family,” he said.
John Blaq explained that while he is comfortable sharing some details about his life with fans, he believes there should be boundaries between his career and his private life.
The singer also spoke about his music career and dismissed claims that musicians need to engage in witchcraft or rituals to achieve success in the industry.
John Blaq said he has built his career without resorting to such practices, attributing his success and hit songs to God’s grace.
“I see some people misleading musicians that you need to practice some things to get a hit, but for us, we get them freely by God’s grace and if something strange happens to you, kneel down on your knees and pray,” he said.
He urged fellow musicians not to be misled by claims that success requires spiritual rituals, instead encouraging them to rely on their faith and hard work.
