Federation of Motor sport Uganda has intervened as a gang leader to fund raise and contribute to the souls that were affected in Kenya in the Westgate terror attack. The attack was conducted by Al shabab, a Somalia based terrorist group and this left a terrifying number of people dead and many nursing injuries.
The federation will hold a rally and donate part of the gate collections from the rally to the Kenyan Red Cross.
Among the many participants is Ugandan Jas Mangat, the National Rally Champion who is to fully participate in the Mbale Mountain Elgon Rally this December.
According to Jeff Kabagambe, clerk of the Mbale Mountain Elgon Rally in a press release, he revealed that part of the gate collections from the rally will go to the Kenyan Red Cross.
“Our brothers in Kenya brought the idea of contributing, so through Red Cross we shall contribute towards Westgate Mall attack victims,” said Kabagambe.
The last rally on the FMU calendar is slated this December and will see several Kenyans rally drivers take part in the 345 km- event that will also cover some parts of Kenya.
