By 3pm, as accustomed with born again concerts, the gates into Bugembe’s church, light the world church situated in Nansana, Kiburoka along Wakiso road were already open and flocked with cars and people causing jam.
It was time for Dangero Busulwa’s time to unleash what he had been baking for his fans. Dangero was launching his album titled “abadde katonda” that attracted quite a huge crowd of not less than 700 people all gathered in a church.
He got on stage after a number of other gospel artists had graced the stage that included Ken Miziki, Julie Mutesasira, Channel 44 presenter S4J, Nony’omu hit maker Levixone, Hawa Musa and Judith Babirye among others.
He got on stage amidst applause at around 6pm and performed most of his fabulous songs that included the song that put him on charts ― omwaka guno, leaving nobody seated but on their feet dancing for the Lord.
Many dignitaries comprising of CEOs, representatives from big companies like URA, Pastors from different churches, the wife of EM Plaza owner and others. This lady was entrusted with launching the album and she, in the name of her family contributed 6m shillings that were given to Dangero in hard cash.
Other people also gave him tremendous support inform of both hard cash and pledges. Altogether, his show approximately garnered about 35 million shillings. Good way to go for gospel artists who have been widely known for performing for pea-nuts or no money at all.
