CHRIS OBORE: “Malcolm Gibson Was A Tourist At Daily Monitor!”

Chris Obore was the Political Editor at Daily Monitor by the time Malcolm Gibson was appointed Executive Editor. Months later, his post was scrapped and he was left in balance following Gibson’s restructuring drive.

Today, after learning that the American Mafioso had thrown in the towel, Obore proceeded to post in parables; “Wanambwa Richard how is Entebbe Road? Are tourists returning safely? Have they enjoyed our good weather? Tell them Uganda is the pearl of Africa gifted by nature but Ugandans are not so foolish. They love tourists with good intentions. Come back any time.”

Trying to decipher his post, he meant that Gibson was simply someone who chose to enjoy his position at Daily Monitor in order to fund his tourism dreams. To Obore, Gibson was ill-intentioned and didn’t have the goals of Daily Monitor at heart.

A one Masha commented on Obore’s post in a sarcastic way;

“Daily Monitor wish to inform the general public that Mr Malcolm Gibson (whose photograph cant be shown due to work permit related troubles) is no longer an employee of Daily monitor or Nation group and is not authorized to transact any business on behalf of the company. Whoever deals with him on matters relating to Daily monitor does so at their own risk.”

It seems Daily Monitor was duped by a tourist, the friends of Chris Obore all agreed in unison. Wanambwa Richard who wasn’t spared by Gibson also took time to celebrate and commented; “Chris Obore the deployment is still intact and it is save for him to exist. We will escort him up to Entebbe Airport.”

Chris Obore later added;

“I have a contribution to make to Uganda just like any other committed Ugandan. In whatever capacity, I am at the stage where my convictions are a matter of life and death. Its foolish for any foreigner to lecture me about their love for Uganda as if I hate Uganda. There is no foreign force that can use me against Uganda. No foreigner can teach me how to hate or love President Museveni because that is a domestic matter. One such a man has gone AWOL. I had promised him a piece of my mind in a face to face encounter. I am no longer a child to be manipulated. I respect old people who have substance but not those with gangster mentality. Time for thinking every Ugandan can be manipulated are gone. Some Ugandans are hardened and I belong to that group. The destiny of our country is in our hands not yours. You just cant throw shit at us in our own home no matter the conditions. You can manipulate those whose focus begins and ends with scheming for food. Those whose convictions dont go beyond their noses. Old man you have survived a barrel of words from me as I had promised you during a one on one. I have many capacities through which I can serve my country but yours was limited yet you thought ….. I survived malaria without you. I survived war without you. I survived polio without you. What really made you think you control me? You concealed your desperation through claiming you love Uganda. You man, I am no pretender, I dislike you especially your behaviour. Just a human being with overblown sense of self importance.”

Over to you our dear readers; was Gibson a tourist or an expatriate?
