Singer Bebe Cool has condemned the idea of celebrities asking for payment to sensitize masses about the COVID-19 pandemic.

Appearing on Urban TV Uganda’s ‘Rush Hour’ show on Thursday, the Gagamel International boss insisted that celebrities should raise awareness about Covid-19 for free.

Bebe Cool said, “There is no need for celebrities to ask for payouts for Covid sensitization adverts. These should be free of charge. If it was for a disease like Malaria I would also request for a paycheck coz its funded by internationally but Covid isn’t funded. They should do this with a patriotism spirit.”

Meanwhile, Bebe Cool’s wife, Zuena Kirema recently recovered from Covid-19. She was admitted at Mulago hospital for over two weeks.

We will keep you posted.
