After the disintegration of the Eagles Production band, celebrity couple Geoffrey Lutaaya and wife who got married recently have moved ahead to form their own new band. The new band is called “De New Eagles Production Ltd” and will concentrate on recruiting new talent to take over the Ugandan music industry. Lutaaya owns 80% shares in the new company with his wife Irene Namatovu owning 20%. She is in charge of recruiting new talent. Singer Eddy Kenzo of the “Sitamina” fame has been confronted by a child rights activists organization based in Bukoto for using children for economic gain in the viral “Sitya loss” Video. The organization called Mutoto Wa Africa claims that the singer is exposing the children to bad vices like smoking, molestation and other abuses. Airtel Uganda announced the adoption of its 3rd school, Nafungaki Primary School, Jinja under the “Adopt a School” initiative. This initiative started in July, 2012, with Airtel Uganda, adopting a new UPE school every year.
