Sports Club Villa’s interim coach Ibrahim Kirya roared on Saturday after registering his second victory as the Blues edged Maroons by 1-0 at Muteesa II Memorial stadium, Wankulukuku since taking over from the sacked Spaniard Antonio Flores.
“We are winning now but nothing much has changed. It is the players’ attitude that is positive now. We have regained our team work,” coach Kirya is quoted in the Sunday Vision.
Kirya who guided the Jogoos to a Uganda Cup victory last season when they beat KCCA FC 3-0 further revealed that Antonio Flores always ignored them and didn’t listen, something that led to his failure at the club and eventual sacking.
“The problem during Antonio’s time was that he ignored us. He never listened to us,” he remarked.
Kirya’s first victory came when his side visited Sadolin Paints at Bugembe stadium in Jinja where they won by 1-0.
Villa’s next league game is against The Saints on 5th December.
