Renowned musician Alien Skin has recently addressed speculations suggesting rivalry with National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine.
Speaking on a local television interview, Alien Skin emphasized that he harbors no animosity towards Bobi Wine himself but rather towards certain behaviors exhibited by his followers.
“I don’t have any problem with Bobi Wine. My issue lies with his supporters, whom I refer to as his ‘dogs’. These individuals tend to exaggerate matters and hold a misguided sense of superiority,” stated Alien Skin during his appearance on Galaxy TV.
The Fangone Forest leader has often been perceived as a significant rival to Bobi Wine, with some even suggesting that he might be acting as a tool for the state to counter Bobi Wine’s influence, particularly in the urban areas.
Over the past year, Alien Skin has asserted his presence as one of the foremost musicians on the scene, with his influence and popularity being unparalleled.
His music and name recognition stand out distinctly and cannot be easily equalled.
Alien Skin’s remarks come at a time when tensions within the political and entertainment spheres are heightened, particularly amid ongoing debates surrounding Bobi Wine’s political aspirations and the role of artists in shaping public opinion.
Despite the perceived tensions, Alien Skin’s clarification underscores his stance on the matter, emphasizing a distinction between personal relationships and broader political affiliations.
