A few days ago, Abryanz cancelled all votes on his website following a security breach. He later revealed what had happened to the system and the steps that he was taking to avert similar future occurrences.
“It has come to our attention that certain individuals, including the nominees, have been hacking into our voting website and in the long run, devised means to cheat with the voting system. Hacking into the system has caused the site to face a number of technical issues, all of which have come to our attention through the various complaints that have been brought forward. So we have decided to review the voting system on the website and we are going to work on making it more secure and transparent,” he said in a statement released a few days ago.
“As of Monday 9th November, 2015 the voting tabs on the website will be refreshed and all of them will go back to 0% so that voting can be done afresh with transparency and fairness. This has been done for the good of all parties involved. In the meantime, we encourage all nominees to keep voting using the other platforms; SMS and the Hash tags,” he added.
The fashionista then shared other available avenues for casting votes. “To vote for your favorite individual, post your favorite picture of them to your instagram and twitter accounts and use the provided hash tags. Alternatively, vote using the sms system by typing ASFA(NOMINEE CODE) and send this to 8888,” Abryanz concluded.
