Longtime singer Eighton Sente, formerly one half of the music duo Eighton & Reign, has spoken out about the challenges he faced after parting ways with Gagamel International Entertainment, a music camp led by popular artist Bebe Cool.

In a recent interview, Eighton revealed that Bebe Cool vowed to sabotage their music careers immediately after they left the Gagamel camp.
According to Eighton, Bebe Cool allegedly used his influence in the media to ensure their songs were not played and that their brand was not promoted.
“Bebe Cool promised to frustrate us the moment we left his camp. He went ahead and paid the media not to play our music or mention our name anywhere,” Eighton said.

These claims come shortly after Bebe Cool publicly stated that he has strong connections in most media houses across Uganda.
He boasted about having personal relationships with media owners and employees, which, according to Eighton, has made it difficult for independent artists like him to thrive after exiting Gagamel.
The duo Eighton & Reign was known for several hits during their time with Gagamel, but they have since struggled to maintain the same visibility in the music industry.
Eighton’s statements have sparked discussion among fans and fellow musicians about the influence of top artists on the media and the challenges faced by upcoming or independent artists in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
