Joseph Tamale Mirundi, former Presidential Press Secretary and renowned political analyst, passed away early this morning.
Mirundi, known for his outspoken nature and media presence, made notable statements about his final arrangements, reflecting his unique approach to life and death.
In a notable interview on the Kasuku Live YouTube channel, the late Tamale outlined his wishes for his posthumous ceremonies.
He requested that his body be moved to and mourned at each of his marital residences in Zzana, Kyengera, and Kabalagala, as well as his ancestral home.
At each location, he desired a two-day vigil accompanied by a roast feast.
Tamale also expressed a wish for his body to be publicly displayed in his ancestral home for the final farewell.
Unconventionally, he preferred to be buried standing rather than lying down, and he requested that village residents be provided with beer to enhance the celebration of his life.
The family and friends of the late Joseph Tamale Mirundi are in our thoughts during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
