The Griffins got a raise! Four “Family Guy” cast members who voice the majority of the characters on the show have negotiated a healthy salary bump for upcoming seasons on the Fox animated show.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the four voice actors who make up the “Family Guy” cast — Alex Borstein, Mila Kunis, Seth Green and Mike Henry — has collectively negotiated a new salary between $175,000 and $225,000 per episode. The pay raises are guaranteed for the next two seasons and can last up to five, and they will go into effect during the 12th season of the series which is currently airing.

One major player missing from contract negotiations was series creator Seth MacFarlane, who voices main character Peter Griffin along with son Stewie and Brian the dog. MacFarlane will negotiate separately because “his deal with 20th TV has several other  components,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The “Family Guy” cast followed in the footsteps of TV’s other favorite animated family, “The Simpsons.” In 2008, the six person cast of “The Simpsons,” who voice almost all of Springfield’s citizens, negotiated a pay raise from $300,000 to $400,000 an episode starting with the show’s 20th season. Three years later in 2011, Fox had tocut the actors’ salaries back to $300,000 in order to keep the animated series on the air. “The Simpsons” is now in its 25th season and Fox has already ordered Season 26.

“Family Guy” has not officially been renewed for another season, but since Fox agreed to the new pay raise, a renewal is likely.

“Family Guy” airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on Fox. HUFFPOST
