It’s now common knowledge that Sports Club Villa president Eng. Immanuel Ben Misagga suspended five players on his club for cases of indiscipline. The suspended five stars include team skipper Jonathan Mugabi, custodian Nicholas Sebwato, striker Karim Ndugwa, Misi Katende and Abdulkarim Kasule.
The players were debarred over the weekend after the Jogoos’ 3-0 loss to Uganda Revenue Authority FC in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) at the Mehta Stadium in Lugazi which marked their third loss in the last five games. It’s alleged that the players were suspended on grounds of matching fixing.
“The five players will be given 14 days to appeal to the disciplinary committee of the club. At the moment, none of them will feature for SC Villa in any league games until the committee has cleared them,” Eng. Misagga is quoted in the New Vision.
It is also rumored that some members on the technical team will also have to face the team’s disciplinary committee.
The Blues today travel to Kavumba Recreational grounds in Wakiso to take on Police FC.
