Zafaran has opened up about her past relationship that ended in 2017-18 after her boyfriend, who worked at NIRA, failed to pay her rent.
Signed under Swangz Avenue, Zafaran shared the experience that led to her decision to break up with him.
According to the singer, her landlord had been pressuring her to clear her rent, which was due. She assured the landlord she would settle the bill in two days. Trusting her boyfriend’s promise to send her the money, Zafaran was shocked when he suddenly switched off his phone for several days, leaving her in a difficult situation.

“I remember breaking up with my boyfriend after he failed to pay my rent. It must have been around 2017-18, and I was staying in a house worth 100k a month. So the day came when I had to clear my rent, but I had no money on me,” she said.
Zafaran recounted the many wrongs her boyfriend had committed during their relationship, and this incident was the final straw.
Despite the setback, she managed to raise the rent money through her performances with a local band, allowing her to move on both emotionally and financially.
