Hmmm… Yes, one of you has definitely heard these words. On the outlook, these words sound like really nice words to listen to. These words if said under normal circumstances should ignite feelings of joy and contentment. I mean… if someone sees you as their flesh and blood that should be really nice, right??
But NO, Definitely not! Think of it this way. A guy who I will call Jake sees a girl, Karen, he fancies (I mean really fancing not kidding around) and takes a bold move to approach her. A friendship blossoms with trust developed. Trips to exclusive hang outs are recorded and after a few months, Jake feels like the time is ripe for him to let Karen know how he feels.
The room goes quiet as Jake shakes like a leaf with sweat dripping down his body as he tries to find composure to tell Karen those three magical words, “I LOVE YOU”. In Jake’s mind, he thinks that after several months of trying to woo this girl, she should be responsive to his advances.
He sighs and sighs and after several stammers he drops the bombshell……”ahh you know Karen I have always been and will always be in love with you”. Karen looks around smiling as she bites her nonexistent nails and responds coyly, “Jake you are such a nice guy but you have always been like a brother to me.”
Jake starts feeling like the world is against him and wonders what could have gone wrong. I mean he has been extremely nice to her doing unimaginable things to convince her he is the one.
So ladies, we guys go out of our way to treat you like princesses that you are. We dine you and treat you to the most exquisite meals in the most expensive resorts and what do u do to us??You see us as the little brother you didn’t have.
Why would a girl do that to someone she has been enjoying a good time with? Karen and other girls out there should realize that good guys are phasing out so shoving us down the FRIENDZONE can only be a disservice to them so stand warned.
