Word spread like bush fire last weekend when musician Jose Chameleone didn’t attend the baptism ceremony of the twins of his late brother AK47.
Chameleone didn’t show up for the ceremony which took place at Seguku parish. His brother Pallaso attended the ceremony and was also seen posing for photos with the beautiful children, a month after their father died.
Chameleone’s reason for not attending is not yet clear but our sources have revealed that he was busy preparing for his show. Chameleone has a show this Friday at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds. The Wale Wale double trouble show will feature many Ugandan artistes as well as the man of the day, Chameleone.
“He has put a lot into the show. He is trying to make sure that everything goes as planned so that on the day he can prove that he is still East Africa’s best artiste. As much as he wanted to go for the ceremony, he just couldn’t get the time,” said an insider source at Leone Island.
Chameleone and his deceased brother were very close. A month after he passed on, he posted a very touching message that left many of his online followers cursing the angel of death. “It was days, today 17th exactly a Month, will become a year, years and forever. We will always miss you and nothing can ever replace you my #AK47 but we are sure you are in a better place,” he said.
