Why Douglas Lwanga Stays Neutral in Uganda’s Celebrity Feuds

Douglas Lwanga has shared his reasons why he remains neutral in the often crazy world of celebrity drama.

According to Lwanga, his impartial approach is due to the fact that many of the celebrities involved, particularly musicians, are close friends of his. He believes that their personal differences should not influence his work as a journalist.

Lwanga says that his primary responsibility is to uphold journalistic ethics, which require him to maintain neutrality and report objectively on all sides of a story.

He noted that this approach has been key to his success in the industry. Reflecting on his career, Lwanga mentioned the well-known feud between Ugandan music heavyweights Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine as an example.

Despite being friends with Bebe Cool, Lwanga chose not to take sides, ensuring that he fairly represented both Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine in his coverage.

I know people are always calling me out, saying I am neutral when it comes to celebrity drama. I want people to understand that it is not the job of a journalist to take sides when covering a story. It is better to stay on the fence of both sides to get the full story.
