Weasel Defends Jose Chameleone Amid Son’s Criticism

Weasel has stepped in to defend his elder brother, Jose Chameleone, after Abba Marcus Mayanja, Chameleone’s son, publicly criticised his father’s lifestyle choices.

Abba, 19, sparked a social media debate last week when he attributed Chameleone’s recent health struggles to his refusal to stop drinking alcohol despite medical advice.

Chameleone was recently hospitalized due to pancreatitis and malaria, a situation that brought his lifestyle into question.

However, Weasel, in a recent interview, urged Abba to approach the matter with more understanding and respect. He highlighted the sacrifices Chameleone has made for his family, including paying for Abba’s education in the United States, which reportedly cost $20,000 (Shs740 million), and providing him with a home abroad.

“The person you are calling an alcoholic has funded all your education for years, taken you to the US, and bought you a home there, while still managing to cover all the bills—it’s painful because that’s his father. I love you, Abba, but please stop,” Weasel stated.

Weasel also pointed out that Abba’s perspective is shaped by his youth and inexperience, emphasizing that fatherhood often brings a deeper understanding of the sacrifices parents make.

“He is still very young, and we need to give him the chance to grow,” Weasel remarked. “As he matures and becomes a father himself, he will likely come to understand what his own father has been dealing with.”
