Ugandan music icon Jose Chameleone has announced a temporary hiatus from live performances as he battles ongoing health challenges.

In a heartfelt statement released on Monday, Chameleone shared that this festive season will mark the first time in his career that he will not grace the stage, a decision he described as deeply disappointing.
His annual tradition of celebrating with fans through music has been disrupted by his hospitalization.
“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the promoters who have consistently believed in me and to the fans who have always shown up to support me. Unfortunately, I’ll be taking a temporary break from performing until I’ve made a full recovery,” the artist shared.
The announcement has sparked widespread concern among his fans, with many taking to social media to wish him a speedy recovery.
Adding to the attention surrounding Chameleone’s health, his son, Abba Marcus Mayanja, recently disclosed that his father has been grappling with substance abuse.
This revelation has further deepened public interest in Chameleone’s wellbeing and the steps he’s taking toward recovery.
