Along Spring road, Bugolobi next to Calypso bar is a beautifully preserved African hub, adorned with crafts and crowned with a lovely grass thatched hut! Welcome to Daytona Bar and Grill, Bugolobi.
Walking into the bar, a nostalgia of the good old village memories grips your soul. The blend with the urban setting is extra ordinary and welcoming. African crafts are well arranged at the entarnace. The bar is divided into four sitting areas, diagonally arranged, with the two low and the other at higher level.
THE CROWD:
The grass thatched hut covers a great veil of secrecy and privacy. Couples were streaming into the place, perphaps to turn their wild sides on.
THE MENU:
To synchronise with the customer taste, the bar’s menu is straight forward; meat and beer. A plate of goat stew goes for 8k, a beer goes for 4K. They serve grilled chicken, nyama choma, chips, and variety of meat dishes.
THE AMBIENCE:
This place is for the mature, adults who have business issues to accomplish in a serene atmosphere.
PARKING:
There is parking lot.
SECURITY:
On the day I was there, I noticed something amiss. There was no security guard at the entrance.
I entered unchecked, did my business and left. Work on that!
OVERALL RATING: Great, worth paying a visit!
