MoMo Nyabo

By Our Reporter

After another successful edition of the MTN MoMo Nyabo promotion, Swangz Avenue, the production house charged with bringing the show to life, has released a behind-the-scenes video giving insight into the amount of work that goes into making such a high budget production.

Swangz Avenue was contracted for the job in a bid to deliver a world class stage and production, sources say. We have also learned they sub contracted Buzz Events to build the set while they focused on production. They clearly didn’t disappoint if the critical acclaim online is anything to go by.

The MoMo Nyabo show aired every week day on NBS and Bukedde TV as show hosts Patricko Mujjuko and Zahara Toto rewarded lucky MTN customers with up to Ugx 5 million for 10 weeks.

The shows were spiced with performances from top Ugandan musicians who included Sheebah, Winnie Nwagi, John Blaq, Vinka, Levixone and Azawi among others, giving viewers something more to look forward to every week.

This year’s MoMo Nyabo promotion, which was returning for the 3rd edition, was aimed at helping MTN customers with the much-needed support following the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the welfare of many Ugandans.

Over UGX 1 billion in mobile money prizes was given away to lucky customers and MTN MoMo Agents and/or merchants.
