Singer Eddy Kenzo who doubles as the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) President has come out to speak against the feud between Ray G and Azawi.
In a recent turn of events at the Comedy Store UG event in Mbarara, a stage misunderstanding between Azawi and Ray G unfolded, creating a ripple effect of controversy.
Ray G insisted on performing before Azawi, leading to a public disagreement that escalated when videos of the incident circulated on social media. This incident not only sparked heated debates among fans but also fueled tribal sentiments, dividing supporters from Central and Western Uganda.
As tensions escalated, Azawi issued a statement denouncing Ray G as disrespectful and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the aftermath of this feud took a dark turn as Ray G faced a hostile audience during his performance at Enkuuka Tobongoota on December 31st in Lubiri, Mengo. The artist was pelted with bottles, highlighting the extent to which the dispute had escalated beyond a mere stage disagreement.
In response to the unfolding chaos, Eddy Kenzo, took to social media to express his dismay.
Kenzo labeled the incident as absurd, particularly given the industry’s current need for unity. He announced that he had directed the Uganda National Musicians Federation Secretariat to conduct a thorough investigation and provide a report.
Kenzo emphasized the importance of addressing the issue promptly to maintain harmony within the entertainment sector.
