Ugandan singer based in the UK Ang3lina, real name Angelina Nabuufu, whose silence had become too loud for her fans to bare has finally revealed why she took an “unofficial” music break. The “Ghetto Lovin” hitmaker has revealed that she has been dealing with a lot of personal issues, leaving her no time to work on new music. However, she insists she has not quit music and will be releasing a new song very soon.
“I’ve been off the scene for so many personal reasons but definitely expect a new jam this July,” she said.
Although she remained cagey about the “personal issues”, it is believed her studies could have been one of the reasons she went on a music sabbatical. The 22-year-old singer who is pursuing a Bachelors degree in Clinical Psychology at the University in Birmingham plans to fully concentrate on her music when she finally settles back in Uganda.
“I won’t be too quiet for too long. I am still thinking on whether to keep releasing music when I’m in the UK or to just wait when I’m settled back home.” She said wistfully, before adding, “I will finally settle in Uganda in about 2 years.”
