Eddy Kenzo
Eddy Kenzo has been one of the most successful artistes in Uganda this year. He became the first Ugandan artiste to win a BET Award after clinching the ‘International viewers choice’ award. He went on to win ‘Best male Artist of the year’ in the Nigerian Entertainment Awards. The singer has also held a world music tour that has seen him visit countries such as USA, Norway, Turkey, Netherlands, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, among others making him, arguably, Uganda’s most selling artiste at moment.
Bebe Cool
Early this year, in February, the Gagamel CEO scooped 6 Hippo Awards in the different categories. His hit single ‘Love you every day’ was later voted the ‘song of the year’ in Australia. Bebe was also nominated in the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) in the ‘Best video of the year’ category for his song ‘Love you every day’. He also recently won the ‘International reggae/dancehall’ award at African Entertainment Awards. Evidently, he has enjoyed a very successful year.

Despite breaking up with their longtime manager Jeff Kiwa, the dynamic duo has still gone on to have a successful year. Earlier this year in February, the dynamic duo won the 2015 Honesty Oscar Award for ‘Best activist Anthem’ for their song ‘Corruption’. They have also landed several endorsement deals including the NRM deal where they are said to have bagged Ugx 50 million to make their ‘Neera’ song the official campaign song.
Dr. Jose Chameleone
Though he has not had many hit songs on the local charts this year, he has still had a fairly successful year. Earlier this year he was nominated in the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) in the ‘Legends’ category. Chameleone was also signed up by the NRM party as one the musicians to lead the party’s campaigns.
