There are some music artistes who’ve got a midas touch when it comes to music collabos. If you want a music collabo that will receive massive airplay on all Ugandan stations, you ought to look out for these music artistes. They are the kings and queens of this game and here they are:
1. Irene Ntale
She’s proven herself when it comes to real collabos. She has a collabo with Chameleone that’s one of the top hits at the moment; she has Bikoola with Goodlyfe, another massive tune, not forgetting the one she has with Sheeba. Are you looking for a hit song? Then don’t waste your time, sign up for a collabo with Irene Ntale.
2. Chameleone
Despite rumours that he’s one of the music artistes that charges money for a collabo, he’s another force to reckon with in the music collabo world of Uganda. You may be the most fake artiste in the world, you may have no lyrics, but once Chameleone gets on your track, the rest is history. He has those hands of gold. Want proof? Ask Leila Kayondo, ask Jackie Chandiru, ask Papa Cidy.
3. Nubian Lee
If you think of any real amazing hit that Bobi Wine has produced, there’s been a Nubian Lee crooning out the chorus. From Abalungi Balumya to Kiggwa Leero, Nubian Lee is another musician with high chances for a great music collabo.
4. Gooodlyfe
With Mowzey Radio charging over one million per hit song, the Goodlyfe boys have surely given us some of the best music collabos. Remember that song with Pallaso? Remember the one with Irene Ntale? How about the one with Leila Kayondo, who’s decided to buy collabos? Anyway, you won’t go wrong if you pay Goodlyfe for a collabo.
5. A Pass
Memories, Trouble Maker, name it all, A Pass is another dude to look for when scouting for a successful music collabo in Uganda. Though his collabo with Goodlyfe was miserable, it could have been a collision of forces, collabos between good collabo makers are bound to fail.
6. Bebe Cool
Yes, yes, yes. This guy too has an eye for good collabos. All his collabos with Rema were hits. His first collabo with Bobi Wine was also a hit. Then he had a collabo with Irene Ntale. He also had one with Tuff B. He even imported his skills and gave a collabo to Alpha from Rwanda, remember the ‘Come to me’ song. In fact it was beyond a hit song in Rwanda to the extent that Bebe Cool has to sing that song whenever he’s in Rwanda.
7. Bobi Wine
Yes, Bobi Wine, the Ghetto President is another president of music collabos. He remixed the Mampi song, it became a hit. Then he worked on “Little Things You Do” with Wahu. He did “Sunda” with Ziggy Dee, we all know what that song did to Kampala. We can’t forget that “Ina di Dance” tune with Mega Dee, Buchaman and Sizzaman
8. Cindy
This is a lady that will surely add magic to any song, doesn’t matter what kinda song it is. She’s already disturbing us with that “Ndi Mukodo” song with Navio. He had one with Mr.G and Bobi wine, it put us in a dilemma.
9. Others
In this list we have Navio, Ziza Bafana, King Saha just to mention but a few. Please don’t pay any other artiste for a collabo if that artiste is not on this list.
