The second edition of Roast and Rhyme, which is scheduled for Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Jahazi Pier, Munyonyo, will be spiced with the crispy feel of Bell Larger and everyone who comes to the event with a barbeque braai will get a free 4 pack of Bell Lager on the house.

Addressing the press at UBL Head Office, Maureen Rutabingwa, the Bell Lager Brand Manager said the brand has taken on the Roast and Rhyme activity as the main sponsor from now on. She added that the musical event that allows people to live and enjoy life was a perfect fit for Bell.

Organized by Swangz Avenue, Roast and Rhyme is a family day out event by the lake with a line-up of the best musicians and lots of meat to roast. It happens quarterly and aims to deliver a unique and wholesome fun experience which can be enjoyed by the entire family.

“We are pleased to partner with the creative minds at Swangz Avenue to bring you Roast and Rhyme, one of the exciting musical activities on the Uganda social calendar. We decided to be part of this dazzling event because of our brand’s connection with music and meat. As you are aware, beer has been a great accompaniment to meat for time immemorial,” Rutabingwa said.

This edition of Roast and Rhyme, will have live performances from Irene Ntale, Kaz Kasozi, Tonix, Babaluku and some poets.

“We are honored to have a brand like Bell Lager on board to elevate this event even further. We are certain that with Bell on board, we shall give people an even better experience.” Benon Mugumbya, the co-founderof Swangz Avenue said.

He guaranteed that they intend to raise the bar with each edition to ensure that people get value for money. As has become the norm with each edition of Roast and Rhyme, there will be an open mic session where members of the audience will be given a chance to perform through spoken word or instrumental performance or acapella.

Gates will open at 11 a.m and entry fees are 50,000 for adults, 3 million for a tent and 1.5 million for cabanas.
