The king of the DMW kingdom, Davido, is back in full-swing. Shortly after promising his beloved listeners that he will never again take as prolonged a break as he did in 2016, the singer has now assured us that a lot of new music is on its way.
He made a stellar comeback at the end of last week when he made his EP, “Son of Mercy” available for pre-order. He then dropped his first solo single in over 11 months. He explained how the song came together: “Gbagbe Osi is one of the songs that was supposed to be on the album last year. When Sony heard it, they really liked it. I like it too, I love the drive.”
But he’s not stopping there. The singer has vowed that he will not disappoint his fans again and is expecting to drop another 10 songs by the end of the year. He touched on some of the big collaborations we can expect, and gushed at the thought of how people will react when they hear his song with Usher.
“Now I have songs with Trey, Future, Young Thug, Tinashe, Usher but I’m taking my time to let the world know who I am first.”
