Ugandan young athlete Jacob Kiplimo,19, continues to receive hearty congratulation messages from fellow countrymen and women after his stunning performance in the IAAF Golden Spike 2020 Athletics meeting in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

On Tuesday night, Kiplimo edged Ethiopian World Championship silver medallist Selemon Barega to win 5000 metre race at finishing in a meet record time of 12:48:63 in the eastern Czech city.
Unlike other sports events taking place at the moment around the world, Kiplimo’s glorious race was witnessed by over 3,000 spectators in Mestsky Stadium as meeting celebrated its 59th edition.
Upon the massive victory for his country, Kiplimo has was showered with praises on Social Media with iconic names also laboring into the inclusion.
It should be noted that this is Jacob’s third world records (WR) in nine months to add to last year’s 5000m Diamond League (DL) trophy, the World Cross-country title and the world 10000m gold.
He is also marked as the favorite competitor in this race prior its commencement after dominating the track prior to the World Cross-country Championships in Aarhus, Denmark, in March 2019.
